Rihanna dons PVC for Metro Radio Arena gig

Gig review

Rihanna.

Rihanna

ANYONE walking into the Metro Radio Arena late on Thursday night could have been forgiven for thinking they’d walked into a strip club.

But it wasn’t a strip night in Newcastle, it was teenage pop sensation Rihanna in the skimpiest black PVC outfit in existence.

The chart-topper wowed the audience with an energetic show after being forced to cancel three earlier gigs due to ill health.

The 19-year-old star made a dramatic entrance with Mr DJ wearing a PVC stripper-style outfit – to live up to the Good Girl Gone Bad album name – and made a further two costume changes into similarly skimpy and risque outfits – one even including a whip, as

she launched into a fantastic rendition of Shut Up and Drive.

The youngster sang a string of funky hits such as Unfaithful, Kisses Don’t Lie and the Soft Cell’s Tainted Love-inspired SOS.

In bondage-inspired heels Rihanna played a song from one of her favourtire artists – Bob Marley, with Is This Love.

Her new single Hate That I Love You was beautifully performed and well received by the young crowd, and the perils of fame were highlighted in Question Existing.

A highlight of the night was an interesting metal dance that involved four dancers wearing metal sandwich boards which they then played a tune on with metal fingered gloves.

Inevitably, the starlet signalled the end of the show with a fantastic performance of the smash-hit Umbrella, that saw the arena become awash with waving brollies.

Going 2 Egypt? Stay at a hotel with a name like Rihana.

The Three Corners Rihana Inn is embedded in and built as an extension to The Three Corners Rihana Resort. The Three Corners Rihana Inn has a 4 star standard and is one of the most animated hotel facilities in El Gouna.
The Three Corners Rihana Inn is built in a typical Nubian style. The buildings, with their typical domes and arches in warm sunset colours, are gathered around a large swimming pool.

New Rihanna cancelation info

she canceled because she had a doctors note saying she couldn’t perform because she was sick (and she performed excenlently in sheffield with a sore throat)

rihanna can’t control who performs or not….that’s up to the management of both artists and the management of the location geniuses
and lastly she isn’t opening up for ciara to who said it ciara is opening up for her.

rihanna has alot of fans even tho you haters wanna think she doesn’t….we don’t come on this site because we have ACTUAL lives and don’t spend all our time hating on a BLACK WOMAN who’s becoming a success. and btw good girl gone bad went plat, don’t believe me then check billboard and rihanna is getting great concert reviews around the chart and is nominated for 6 grammies and not just for umbrella either.she also has the title of being tied with whitney houston for the biggest song on the charts (umbrella was on their for 10 weeks).
im done with straighting this mess out…you can leave your hypocritical and uneducated comments at the beep. *beep*
“get it straight before ya’ll hate.”

(a rihanna fan sets the record straight)

    Da’Ville, 31, entertainer

Talented, fashionable and oh-so-chocolate, reggae-R&B singer Da’Ville is holding steady on his musical journey, releasing radio-ready singles and a chart-riding album – even collaborating with international stunners like Sean Paul.

Not many will remember that the artiste, born Orville Thomas, began his career as frontman of the now defunct musical trio, ARP. Not surprising, since he has completely morphed into a bonafide and successful solo star, now gearing up to release a new interpretation of the holiday classic Every Year, Every Christmas, as a duet with reggae queen, Marcia Griffiths.
Quick-witted and incredibly charming, Da’Ville phoned up all woman recently to chat about his favourite things, why he’s not “crazy in love” with Miss Beyoncé and what he really wants for Christmas.

Vital Stats: 6’3, 200 lbs, “married”
Birthday: January 24 (Aquarius)
Shoe Size: 11
Neighbourhood: Red Hills, St Andrew
On life as hard-working musical artiste: It can be very stressful and time-consuming. It is the love and passion that I have for the music that keeps me going. I’ve been enjoying the ride though. It has its benefits because you get to travel and meet people.

Dream job outside the music biz: Medical doctor.

Action flicks or suspense thrillers: I like both because the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat and I love that. With the action movies, you get to imagine yourself as the hero (Laughs).

Favourite magazines: Vibe and Buzz.

The book you can’t put down: The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.

In high school you were the: Reserved one. I was very withdrawn so I was mostly by myself.

How many girlfriends have you had: Can’t count (Laughs). But in terms of serious girlfriends, it is more than 10.

Beyoncé or Rihanna: Definitely Rihanna. Beyoncé is not my kind of girl. Rihanna is more my flavour.

Other celebrity crushes: Halle Berry and Tessanne Chin.(He has a very high chest as Ja people would say.lol)

Favourite home-cooked meal: Rice and peas with brown stew fresh-water fish, vegetables and fried plantains.

Favourite brand of cologne: Anything from Chanel, Polo and Kenneth Cole.

On weekends you can be found: Performing at shows or just chilling at home.

If you were Prime Minister for a day, what’s the first issue you would look at: Crime and the line between the haves and the have-nots.

Fondest Christmas memory: Having dinner with family members I hadn’t seen in a while.

What do you want for Christmas: I hope to purchase my first house (Laughs).

In ten years you hope to: Establish a comfort zone between my career and my personal life because it is not really balanced right now (Laughs). I also look forward to greater financial stability and collecting Grammys and other awards.
